Terrible customer service (think being left standing in the car bay for 10 minutes with employees ignoring you before one finally tells you to wait in your car and someone will be out in 10 minutes or so). Worse, they attempted to have me buy four tire sensors by lying and saying that they can’t tell which sensor is bad. I called them out on that being false, that their testing equipment can easily identify which sensor is bad (they didn’t realize can know about cars and just not want to do the work themselves.
I would strongly recommend taking your vehicle to another service center. This place does a better job at gaslighting customers than servicing cars. My Accord hybrid was having issues with significant surging/bucking at higher speeds. They called me back the same day I dropped it off telling me that they couldn’t find anything wrong with the vehicle. The Assistant Service Manager (Joshua Taylor) told me that the bucking was normal for the vehicle and tried to convince me that I somehow just hadn’t noticed it in the year+ that I’d owned the vehicle. He explained to me that the service techs saw no trouble codes and that there was nothing they could do for me without a trouble code. I don’t believe (based on the odometer) that anyone bothered to drive the vehicle. After much back and forth I convinced them to keep the vehicle for a transmission fluid change (as it was due, according to the maintenance minder). A couple of days later I picked up the car and, to my great dismay, found that my windshield was cracked! Joshua told me that he felt certain that the mechanic didn’t crack my windshield and proceeded to try to convince me that there had been hail in the area that morning and that perhaps my windshield was cracked by the hail (even though there is no other hail damage on the body or glass). He assured me that his manager would review the tapes that they apparently have of the car entering and exiting the shop to ascertain whether or not they were at fault. He told me this could take a few days. After no word for 2 WEEKS (and after I called and left a message asking for a return call), I drove to the service center and spoke with another service rep (Joshua was off) who assured me someone would call me back the next day. Joshua called me back the next morning to tell me that his manager had reviewed the tapes THAT MORNING (AFTER I SHOWED UP TO COMPLAIN!!). He then told me that they didn’t find any cracks on the tapes BUT that I was unable to verify that because of “privacy issues”. I want to stress that, through all of this nightmare, Joshua was warm and professional towards me. He was utterly useless, but very professional. He then asked if I’d like to pay to have them replace my windshield out of my own pocket! This is the first new vehicle I’ve ever purchased and, as such, the 1st time I’ve ever been forced to deal with a dealership. I went in with an open mind, but Music City Honda is actively helping give dealerships the miserable reputation that they have.
Don't expect too much after the purchasing a vehicle. Can hardly get in to service our car. Bought a service contract that that we couldn't use because every time I took the car in for even a simple oil change it took hours and hours. I went to cancel the service contract since we paid cash for it. They couldn't just cancel it and refund our money. They financed it into the car note. xxx. Then when they finally cancelled it and sent payment to the principle of our car note, they prorated it even though we never used the oil changes. Cost us $292 for them to hassle us. Will never return to this dealership. And if you need to call and get a hold of anyone there don't expect to get through. I called repeatedly and got transferred to wrong voicemails, hung up on a couple of times and almost yelled at for asking to be transferred to a particular person. I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism from a business.
I worked with Tate Elliott. He was knowledgeable and helpful. Great experience buying CR-V.
I contacted Music City Honda as the back panel of my driver's seat came off. A plastic clip was broken at the base and it is a 2012. So I asked about getting replacement clips for it. Originally ordered on 8/24/2024 and I called yesterday to find out what was going on. The clips were $11.14 but I was charged a standard "we will check it out for you fee" of $179.95. It was done in 30 minutes. I had also asked about a dome light that wouldn't come on when the door is opened. I was told it would cost another "we will check it out for you fee" of $179.95. Even if it was just a bulb. So Music City Honda is gouging for service work. There should be a separate fee for when it is something simple. This makes me feel mistrustful. And that is significant for me. The parts and services managers need to think about their fee structure. Not good customer service. Andy Louangphay was my service contact and was great to deal with. Andy is the only reason this is not a one-star review. I have lost faith in Music City Honda. Customer beware and get fees upfront.
We had the pleasure of working with Pastor Lew Phillips and one of the newer sales associates. Both were great to work with. Pastor Lew was very helpful and ran interference for us regarding a number of things. I would use him again!
Almost the perfect bait and switch. I had communicated repeatedly that I wanted an out the door price, and confirmed it before driving 45 minutes with my daughter to check out a car they had. Test drove it, and really liked it. Went inside, and the sales guy confirmed we were paying cash. He took about 15-20 minutes to return, and we proceeded to sign all of the paperwork - and he repeatedly confirmed we were paying cash, and the price was still the one we had agreed to. He then leaves after he is supposed to tell finance we are ready, and comes back with his manager who says the price they quoted me was if I financed through them, and if I was paying cash, it was more. Bait ---> Switch. The act was nearly perfect. These guys were convincing, and had me doing the math in my head. Luckily my daughter said - let's go, we are done, before I came to that conclusion myself. Integrity is important to me. I won't return to this dealer.
If you like feeling like all you are is $$$$, buy a car from here. They don’t care about people and have no problem making insults about those buying a car. My daughter was told the car she brought in due to a check engine light going on was undriveable and PRESSURED into buying a car. Things went south when her boyfriend came in and she was told “she was too pretty to be with him” because he was trying to look out for her. Had they let her leave with her car in the first place, none of this would have happened. I will not use this dealership again for my Honda.
Big Lew and his team were so pleasant and easy to work with! They were able to help me get my dream vehicle and I so appreciated how up front they were and how easy they made it! You might say I felt like I was “in the drivers seat” 😁
While i liked some the vehicles i was looking at, i found that the sales crew was overly aggressive and i wanted to leave after the first one came to me. I wasnt in the car lot for 2 minutes and as a slowly drove thru to look, a salesman knocked on the car window making all kinds of offers and we were not even ready to talk to someone. I would feel better if i approached the salesperson for help when i was ready.
I recommend you to stay away from this place. Sales Manager will gaslight you saying they will call you back, they won’t. I passed on buying a Tesla yesterday because they told me everything was good, when it wasn’t. And the Tesla at the other dealer sold this PM. This is sketchy and they lie about approvals not disclosing what’s really going on to their benefit. They told me my deal was approved, and it wasn't. I called and said “Can I speak to finance?” This guy replied “I hope you can” lol… This place is a joke. This is the reason these old fashioned dealers are dying.
I purchased two new cars from the dealership . A civic on 7/4 for my son and an Accord on 7/6 for me. My sales rep on both was Fred Derrick. Fred was very professional and helpful. All the other staff was professional as well. I just recently moved to the area and had NO contacts in the area. It was a great experience. Joe C.
My husband and i went in one a sunday talked with Mr big lew,we had a lot of fun buying a tundra..They were all nice..Big lew and Drew were excellent to work with...I recommend them very highly!!We are very happy with our purchase..Will go back again...
I bought a used car from this dealership, within a month I had it at the mechanic and found it needed a new ECM/Computer and that part is not available. Music City Honda is avoiding me and not standing by this car. Don't buy from them. Sometimes it is not doing what you can get a away with but instead doing the right thing by your customers.
I called around to multiple dealerships trying to find one that was not selling new Civic Type R’s for over MSRP. When I called Music City Honda, I got Andrew Perry on the phone. Andrew told me , the dealership is not one of the dealers that charges over MSRP and he went on to say that he didn’t agree with dealers that chose to do that. I asked if the dealership was expecting any new Civic Type R’s in because, I didn’t see any on the website for sale. Andrew told me the dealership was expecting a white one in the next 2 -6 weeks. He also went on to say that he had a used 2021 in the showroom, I told him I was more interested in the 2023 model that was coming in. After a 41 minute phone call with Andrew I agreed to bring in my trade and if I was happy with all the numbers, I could then place a deposit on the 2023 that was inbound. Upon my arrival, Andrew was assisting another customer. I then met Jim, the sales manager and Fred, the salesman I would be working with. I explained the situation to Fred and his first goal was to get a trade in price for my car. I sat and waited about 10-15 minutes. Fred then sat down, gave me the price for my car and then said he had a couple of “discrepancies” to talk with me about. Fred began telling me that Music City Honda does charge more than MSRP for new Civic type R’s! He then went on to tell me that there was no date in their system for when the new Civic Type R would actually land in the dealership! So, while I was trying to pull myself together after Andrew had outright lied to me about these two issues, Jim the sales manager popped his head into Fred’s office. Jim wanted to apologize but did not want to do anything to fix the situation. I told Jim to “F” off and started to walk away. Jim then yelled to me, “and the same to you!”. I spun around and asked Jim what he had said. His reply was, well, you said it to me. I then turned and walked out of the dealership. I guess, in Jim’s mind, I had no right to be angry and should have just left. Maybe they lie to all of their customers to get them to show up at the dealership. Stay away from this dealership, they DO NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS or CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I put down a $500 deposit that they said was refundable multiple times if the car came in and I didn’t like it or changed my mind. They said it would be there in less than a week. It took nearly 2 weeks, which is no big deal, but I had found another car with everything I wanted for a cheaper price. Honda could not offer me this car at the same price as the other one I was interested in. No problem, I understand that. Konnor was very friendly and polite throughout this process, however, the sales manager continued to pressure me and talk down to me. I never received my deposit back and every time I call about it, they just send me to a manager’s voicemail. If the deposit is non-refundable, they should not have told me otherwise.
Nothing bad to say. Andrew was the salesman who helped me. Andrew went above and beyond . Would definitely recommend, was in and out in just a few hours.
The people at this dealership were willing to work with you. I have NOTHING bad I can say. The salesman, the managers in all departments were all great during my experience. They did all they could do to make our deal work. Something unfortunate happened on my end and I couldn’t complete the purchase and my deposit was returned no questions asked. A well deserved rating is the least I could do. Jimmie
Great experience! It was quick and easy. Jeff made my experience amazing. Will definitely come back in the future.
Sold my daughter a 2018 Ford and 6 months later transmission went out and cost $6000 to fix it. Warranty didn’t cover the transmission…….so it’s just sitting at the dealership while she continues to have to make payments on a vehicle that shouldn’t have broke down 6 months after purchasing.
Quoted me over $600/mo for a 36 month lease. Either they think a Civic Si will only be with around $4,000 the end of the lease, or they had no interest in working with me at all. They should have just told me that rather than wasting so much of my time.
Terrible experience. Short version: the sales manager tried to scoop a sale from a dealership where I'd placed a deposit by offering to beat the other dealership's price by $300, sight unseen; the actual price was $5,000 higher than the other dealership; the salesman expected me to handle the trade-in by traveling to my credit union (4.5 hours each way) to get a check for the full amount of the pre-approval and bring the check to their dealership, without being able to give the credit union a lien on the new vehicle. I had to explain that's not how trade-ins work. At the end, I had to ask that my car be moved to a closer entrance because I have a severe back injury and couldn't walk the length of the dealership (they'd left my vehicle at the opposite end of the dealership). So many things wrong with my experience. My opinion? Stay away.
Our family was interested in purchasing an SUV. They had one for a great deal, but we insisted on going home and coming back the next day. Our salesman, Phil Davidson, was nice and willing to work with us, but he insisted we at least see the numbers before heading out. After a discussion inside negotiating, we decided to go home and come back later the next day. As we were getting up to go, his sales manager Matt comes in and says "Well you'll need to deposit (a certain amount) in order to reserve this car so we dont sell it tomorrow." I told him "We didn't say we were for sure going to buy this vehicle." Then this xxxxx has the audacity to say "Oh I'm sorry I was told you were and I stayed an hour past closing just to do your paperwork. It's just inconvenient because its already past closing." Well, I apologize for being such an inconvenience when your sly salesman is the one that lied and said we were buying. We insisted on leaving, but your people said otherwise and then you guys told us my wife, 2 babies and I were an inconvenience. Call it good cop, bad cop, call it a selling tactic, or call it whatever you want. I'll call it crappy customer service and you'll never get a recommendation or a car purchase from us. The people my family and I dealt with were decieving liars, but its alright. Carvana offered a better deal for the same car year, make, model, and package, except it didn't have dings, chipped paint or a broken car handle and it was $1000 less than the car Music City Honda was trying to sell us.
Very professional, bought a new civic and was very impressed. No pressure into buying and the salesman was extremely nice and went above and beyond any expectations.
Bought a used Porsche Cayenne in April. The Salesman Evan Ruth went out of his way to get me in this car. The follow up service he provided was great. Thanks again Evan!!
