It's the all-important question, and one that Honda drivers in the greater Nashville area frequently ask us. Luckily, we've made doing both easy. Get the long and short of it from the pros, right here at Music City Honda.

Honda Trim Levels Explained

Beyond model, designated by examples like "Insight" and "Pilot," trim options generally break a vehicle down into more distinctive sets of features. In the case of Honda, trims get straightforward names that don't vary much between models, from those at entry-level to those fully loaded at the top of each line.

LX

LX trims, for example, are base models, with many of the standards you'll find in later levels, and sometimes, you can even find even a few more enticing features available, otherwise proceeding further up the line.

Sport

The Sport trim tends to take a performance turn. These are more athletically geared, with features akin to sports cars. Divergences can range from exterior looks to engine, suspension, drivetrain, and steering enhancements, or even both. You can also expect tech and safety improvements to had in a sport-inspired direction.

EX

An EX trim represents the Honda midrange, a best of both worlds, with much of what you can find at entry level, plus more than a few higher-trim perks.

EX-L

EX-L trims drive even further down the road to more luxurious feature inclusions. They can range from better accommodations and more advanced technology to enhanced performance and more comprehensive safety and driver-assist systems.

Touring

The Honda Touring trim gets its name from early vehicles designed for longer trips. Today's trims so named offer not only a lot of what you can find in those below them but also a host of modern feature advantages to continue that tradition.

From there, differences are in the details, put in especially sharp contrast when you consider a variety of body styles. Those of Honda range widely. Your favorite coupe can differ from that sedan you've had your eye on; a hatchback definitely finds a middle ground between a car and a sport utility vehicle; and that family-friendly minivan for hauling kids, pets, and vacation swag is starkly different by capability from a pickup, designed for off-roading and towing. However, you may be relieved to learn that Honda trim level comparisons rein it all in, making looking at your options by vehicle style a lot easier.
