In 2023, Honda breaks ground on the fourth generation of the popular Honda Pilot. This midsize crossover will continue to offer three rows of seats and premium features, but it has been beautifully updated from end to end and under the hood. Our Music City Honda reps are standing by to tell you more about the many updates made between the Pilot’s 2022 and 2023 model years.
The 2023 Honda Pilot is paired with a new 3.5-liter V6 engine that creates 285 horsepower. This engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. This is even more powerful than the 2022 Honda Pilot which has been impressing drivers with extensive power thanks to its own 3.5-liter V6 engine. The 2022 Pilot creates 280 horsepower, and it’s paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel and all-wheel drive are offered on the 2022 Pilot’s lower trims. Upper trims for the 2022 Pilot come with standard all-wheel drive.
Additionally, the 2023 Honda Pilot offers up to 7 available drive modes, which include new Sport, Tow, and Trail modes. The redesigned 2023 Pilot also includes a TrailSport model, which comes standard with all-terrain tires, steel skid plates, enhanced off-road suspension, and more.
The appeal of the 2023 Pilot grows stronger when you explore its revamped interior and exterior styling. The latest version has a larger and more upright grille and horizontal headlights. Part of the redesigned Pilot’s stunning appeal is its more athletic stance and sportier profile. Inside the 2023 Pilot’s cabin, you can appreciate the dashboard’s crisp, linear look. This is paired with a floating screen for the infotainment system and an inclined center console. The 2022 Honda Pilot looks more sedate by comparison. The 2023 Honda Pilot also features increased legroom for the second and third rows of seating.
Honda has found ways to improve the Pilot SUV across the board – including its features. Standard features for the 2023 Honda Pilot include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front fog lights, black roof rails, a 7-inch touchscreen with physical knobs for volume and tuning, and so much more. Available features include navigation, leather upholstery, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 9-inch HD touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument display, and more. Even the Honda Sensing® system of advanced safety features has been improved for 2023.
