2023 Honda Pilot vs 2023 Honda Passport

Serving Mt. Juliet, TN

The Pilot and the Passport are at the top of Honda’s crossover SUV lineup for the 2023 model year, so these models may be focal points in your search. The Pilot has a three-row cabin, while the Passport offers two rows and a large cargo area. With many other differences between the 2023 Honda Pilot and the 2023 Passport, you can rely on our Music City Honda reps to help you select your ideal crossover.

Performance

All six of the Pilot’s trims benefit from a 285-horsepower V6 engine and 10-speed auto transmission. All but the top two trims have standard front-wheel or optional all-wheel drive. The top Pilot trims come with standard all-wheel drive. The 2023 Passport also has one engine available for its three trims. This is a 280-horsepower V6 engine with a nine-speed auto transmission. For the first time, all-wheel drive is standard for all 2023 Honda Passport SUVs.

Appearance

The 2023 Pilot displays fresh front-to rear styling as a next-generation model. Its broad dimensions are enhanced by flat, mostly smooth surfaces and a tall nose. This nose features a narrow, black bumper with molded, angled air intakes. The grille has a staggered mesh design, enhanced by the flanking, narrow headlights. These dramatic headlights sit at a slight angle and are underscored by a ribbon of LED light. The 2023 Passport has a more athletic look that displays a shorter, angled hood, black molding, and a pair of definition lines on the sides. The grille is more rectangular, and the bumper is thicker and molded. In addition, the air vents stand upright, and the larger headlights have LED accents on the tips.

Features

While the cabin layout differs in these Honda crossovers, they have many of the same features. For example, they are available with a hands-free liftgate, leather material, wireless smartphone charging, heated front seats, a three-zone climate control system, a power moonroof, driver’s memory functions, a navigation system, a household power port, parking sensors, HondaLink, adaptive cruise control and more. The Pilot is also available with remote engine start, the option for bench seats or captain’s chairs in the second row, a programmable liftgate, second-row sunshades, a head-up display, a heated windshield, and a couple of additional features.
