2023 Honda HR-V vs 2022 Honda CR-V
Serving Mt. Juliet, TN
In 2023, the subcompact Honda HR-V breaks into new territory with the launch of its second generation. This spectacular model is frequently compared to its slightly larger sibling, the CR-V. As you prepare to narrow down your selection to one top model, you understandably need to learn more about the differences between the 2023 Honda HR-V and the 2022 CR-V. Our Music City Honda sales specialists are on-hand to answer your questions as you get better acquainted with the possibilities.
Performance
All three of the HR-V’s trim levels have the same performance capabilities. They are equipped with a 158-horsepower, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. Front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive are offered on all trims as well. The 2022 CR-V, on the other hand, has a 190-horsepower, turbo four-cylinder engine with a continuously variable transmission across its trim levels. Most 2022 CR-V trims have front-wheel drive with available all-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive becomes standard for the top trim.
Appearance
The 2023 Honda HR-V has edgy, modern styling that sets it boldly apart from some of the other Honda models on the market. For example, it has a reshaped, rounded grille paired with a waterfall-edge hood and linear, arrow-like headlights. The sides have crisp, sculpted surfaces with thin molding around the wheel wells. The 2022 CR-V, on the other hand, has Honda’s traditional hexagonal grille with angled, sharp headlights. The hood is smoothly angled with side accentuation. The sides are mostly smooth with rounded definition over the fenders.
Features
You will be impressed by your new Honda’s features regardless of whether you choose the 2023 HR-V or the 2022 CR-V. This is because both models are available with wireless smart device connectivity, a central display screen, smart device integration, an auto climate management system, a digital driver’s instrument screen, and more. Some or all trims for both models may also be equipped with adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, lane-keep assist, and auto emergency braking.
