Your search for a three-row SUV ends when you explore all that the Honda Pilot offers. With several essential updates made to the 2021 Pilot, exploring these updates will help you to decide whether to head home in a 2020 or a 2021 Pilot. Our Music City Honda associates are eager to help you explore the differences between these two popular model years in person.
For 2021, the Honda Pilot is available with an all-new Special Edition trim level. The new trim and all carryover trims receive 280 horsepower from a V6, 3.5-liter engine. While the powertrain is unchanged, however, the transmission has been updated. The engine is now linked to a nine-speed automatic transmission as standard equipment in the 2021 model year. Many mechanical features are found in both the 2020 and 2021 Pilot. These include eco assist, active noise cancellation, anti-locking brakes, hill start assist, and others.
Throughout the Pilot’s interior and exterior, the design and aesthetic features are unchanged between 2020 and 2021. However, the new 2021 Pilot Special Edition has trim-specific badging and design elements that you can admire in person when you drop by Music City Honda soon. The Pilot has an eye-catching exterior with mostly level surfaces across the profile. Beautiful angles accent this throughout the side windows and side personality lines. Some or all trims for 2020 and 2021 Pilot have a hands-free power liftgate, LED headlights, programmable remote entry, and other items.
Most of the features across the 2020 Pilot’s trim levels are identical to those in the 2021 Pilot’s comparable trim levels. The most crucial difference is introducing a dual-zone auto climate control system in the 2021 LX trim level. Some of the features in both model years include Honda Sensing® safety tech, heated leather seats, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a rear entertainment center, and other gear.
