The Hybrid and Hybrid EX trim levels mate an I-4 engine with an electric motor to generate 143 horsepower. The manual transmission that was standard in a few of the 2020 Accord trim levels is gone. The 2021 Accord has a continuously variable transmission tied to both engine options.

In 2020 and 2021, the Honda Accord has a confident profile with a modestly tapered nose and a rolling roof. For 2021, the front end has been refreshed. It now has a stunning chrome accent bar that runs along the front end's entire length on top of the grille and headlights. Below this bar, a thicker bar in the grille holds the Honda logo and is integrated with the triangular, multi-elemental headlights. The horizontal bar theme that starts at the top of the 2021 Accord's nose carries through the grille. The round fog lamps sit in sporty ports on the lower sides of the front end.
