What’s New for the 2025 Honda Pilot?
For several decades, the Honda Pilot has been a top pick for SUV enthusiasts seeking a three-row cabin. It has undergone impressive evolution across four generations, with the current generation debuting in 2023. Although the Pilot underwent significant updates, the changes for the 2025 model year are relatively minimal.
In 2025, the trim lineup will see a shake-up, with the LX trim discontinued and replaced by the Sport as the new entry-level option. The Black Edition joins the lineup as the new top-tier trim, shifting the Elite down a notch. The 2025 trim lineup comprises the Sport, EX-L, Touring, TrailSport, Elite, and Black Edition. Opting for the Black Edition equips your Pilot with dark interior and exterior accents, red cabin highlights, and leather seats.
The 2025 Honda Pilot continues to impress with its robust engineering and maintains its capabilities from the 2024 model year. It is powered by a 285-horsepower V6 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and boasts a tight turning radius for excellent maneuverability. The TrailSport trim offers enhanced axle articulation with its upgraded and lifted suspension. The towing capacity of the 2025 Pilot remains at 5,000 pounds.
Apart from the blacked-out elements on the Black Edition, the exterior of the 2025 Pilot remains unchanged. It features raked side windows, a tall, flat roofline, and a bold nose sporting a wide-mesh, hexagonal grille. The LED-underscored headlights extend horizontally from the grille.
Like its 2024 counterpart, the 2025 Pilot offers eight seats with a bench seat in the second row. Optionally, the captain’s chairs in the second row reduce seating to seven. The Sport trim level for 2025 includes two 7-inch display screens in the center stack, while other trims feature 9-inch screens. Additional features available in the 2025 Pilot include 14 cup holders, traffic jam assist, removable storage spaces, wireless device charging, wireless smartphone connections, a multi-zone climate control system, automatic locking, a moonroof, push-button ignition, heated seats, and numerous assistive safety features.
