What’s New for the 2024 Honda CR-V?
The compact Honda CR-V crossover SUV introduced its sixth generation in 2023 with grand improvements. Specifically, the CR-V grew in size and was restyled across the interior and exterior. While the updates to the 2023 CR-V were extensive, Honda has made another exciting improvement for the 2024 model year. This year, the Sport-L trim level debuts. The Honda CR-V’s six trim levels are the LX, EX, Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Sport Touring.
The Sport-L is a blend of the EX-L and Sport trim levels. Its four-cylinder, 2.0-liter hybrid engine produces 204 horsepower. The exterior is dressed in dark trim, sport appearance package accents, a power liftgate, and roof rails. Inside, the Sport-L features two USB ports in the back row, leather upholstery, parking sensors, low-speed auto braking, an eight-speaker sound system, driver’s memory settings, wireless connections for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a wireless phone charging station, a 9-inch touch display screen, and a few others.
The entry-level powertrain is unchanged. This is a 190-horsepower, turbo 1.5-liter, four-cylinder gas engine. It pairs with a continuously variable transmission. Most 2024 CR-V trims, including the new Sport-L, have front-wheel drive as a standard feature, with all-wheel drive offered as an upgrade. The Sport Touring trim, however, has standard all-wheel drive.
The 2024 Honda CR-V’s entry-level trim gives you a 7-inch touch display screen, smart device app connections, a four-speaker sound system, adaptive cruise control, forward collision sensing with auto braking, and lane keeping. Features offered in some or all of the other trims are heated side mirrors, a moonroof, a six-speaker sound system or better, heated front seats, a dual-zone climate control system, a navigation system, a blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic sensing, ambient cabin lighting, and a few additional features.
