What’s New for the 2024 Honda Civic Sedan?
The Honda Civic has a long history of delivering the practicality and features that drivers want, and it has progressively evolved over the last several decades to elevate its appeal regularly. In 2024, the Honda Civic continues to evolve with the addition of a hybrid engine. This engine will offer both the Civic sedan and hatchback body styles. The powertrain includes two electric motors along with a four-cylinder gas engine.
The mid-generation 2024 Civic is comparably styled to the previous model year. It has an undeniably sporty look with a road-hugging stance, a swooping roofline, and side rocker panels. Above the rocker panels, a sharp accent line curves upward through the doors. At the front end, you can appreciate the Civic’s premium definition on the hood and dramatic front-end design. The sharp headlights are strongly styled with a bending LED bar, and a thick, black element links them. The lower fascia features large, black air vents flanking a beefy bumper. Select trims for 2024 may have flared fenders, summer performance tires, up to 19-inch wheels, auto wipers, a moonroof, heated side mirrors, and a few other features.
The sedan and hatchback versions of the 2024 Civic have a spacious interior with quality features, but the trim levels available vary by body type. The sedan is available in the LX, Sport, EX, Touring, and Si trims. The hatchback is available in the LX, Sport, EX-L, Sport Touring and Type R trims. The base LX trim gives you a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine with a CVT to produce 158 horsepower. The Sport trim builds on this with the option for a manual transmission. The EX, EX-L, Touring and Sport Touring trims receive 180 horsepower from a turbo 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine with a CVT. However, the hatchback versions of the Touring and Sport Touring are available with a six-speed manual transmission. The Si trim is equipped with a 200-horsepower, turbo 2.5-liter engine mated to a rev-matching, six-speed manual transmission. It features a sports suspension, a front limited-slip differential, and larger brakes. The Type R links a 315-horsepower, turbo 2.0-liter engine with a six-speed manual transmission. This trim also has an adaptive sport exhaust, Brembo brakes, and adaptive dampers.
