What’s New for the 2023 Honda CR-V?
Honda has progressively elevated the appeal of its many popular models over the years, and it proudly introduces exciting changes to the CR-V for 2023. This small crossover has been completely revamped from front to rear with the debut of its sixth generation. Improvements touch on everything from the CR-V’s powerful capabilities to its features and styling. At Music City Honda, we are looking forward to helping you discover all that the 2023 Honda CR-V brings to the table.
Through a test drive of the new CR-V, you can experience Honda’s attention to enhancing its performance capabilities. The gas and hybrid powertrains have both been re-engineered and now produce more power. The hybrid trim levels are powered by a 2.0-liter gas engine combined with two electric motors. This pairing includes the all-wheel drive drivetrain with the new Intelligent Control System. If you decide to drive a hybrid CR-V trim level, you can take advantage of 204 horsepower with 247 pounds-feet of torque. The other powertrain is a gas 1.5-liter turbocharged system that offers 190 horsepower. It is combined with a continuously variable auto transmission. New additions to the 2023 CR-V’s mechanical features are a Snow drive mode, a revamped suspension system, and hill descent control.
Across the 2023 Honda CR-V’s interior and exterior, you will find fresh styling. Because the CR-V has been enlarged across its length and width, the cabin is roomier. The interior also has revamped materials and a modernized style. On the exterior, the profile has been redesigned slightly, and the beltline is dropped. The nose shows off a longer hood with reshaped, LED-topped headlights. Both the grille and front bumper have also been redesigned to make a dramatic first impression.
There are also several exciting improvements to the 2023 CR-V’s safety equipment. For example, knee airbags, next-gen front airbags, and rear side-impact airbags have been added to the mix. In addition, Honda has added to its Honda Sensing® features with traffic jam assist, low-speed braking, a wide-view camera with radar capabilities, and traffic sign recognition.
Many features across all trims have a great selection of carryover features from the 2022 version. Depending on which 2023 CR-V trim that you select, your crossover could come with a 9-inch central display screen, a Bose advanced audio system, several USB ports, a 7-inch digital driver’s display, Apple CarPlay, a navigation system, Android Auto, and wireless smart device integration.
